12-Year-Old Rian stays with his single-parent mother, uncle and grandmother in his grandmother’s house.
His mother earns the bare minimum working the night shift part-time at the local laundromat. As such, she is unable to have the time to supervise and guide Rian in his homework after school, let alone afford to send him to extracurricular lessons. Diagnosed with a learning disability, Rian is currently studying in APSN Chaoyang School. Xin Yuan Community Care helps Rian and his family by providing free weekly tuition to help monitor and guide him to support him emotionally, socially and academically. Xin Yuan also lessens his family’s financial burden by providing monthly groceries. We hope to engage professional neurotherapists to help Rian.
